Our first Pitch for Pins winner is in, and the baskets have shipped out.

Centennial Park in Seward, Nebraska will soon have a 9-hole beginner course, set in a wooded spot along the Blue River behind the county fairgrounds. The local club already has an 18-hole course, but as they’ll tell you, it’s a tough entry point for someone brand new to the sport. They ran a test week with a portable layout during a recent fundraiser and got good feedback from players around town, so they came into this with real momentum.

We asked one of the volunteers what winning meant to them. They said it felt like validation for all the volunteer hours already put into the club, and a chance to finally get more of their community into the game.
