On paper, bigger teeing areas sound like a clear upgrade. More room should mean more freedom, better footing, and more safety. But the players were not automatically sold on the idea that bigger always means better. A larger area may help with run-up and follow-through, but it does not necessarily change the actual shot requirement. That is where the discussion gets interesting.
Are these designs really improving elite competition, or are they more of an experiment that still needs to prove itself?
