Heather Young Prodigy

Idlewild Open breakout Heather Young has extended her contract with Prodigy Disc for two seasons, keeping her with the Georgia company through 2021. The deal was first announced in early January.

The purple-clad 17-year-old from Knoxville, Tenn. only picked up a disc a little over two years ago but has already notched solid finishes at Disc Golf Pro Tour events and PDGA Majors while reaching a 939 rating this past year.

She will be playing locally until traveling to Waco for the DGPT stop, and has Throw Down the Mountain and the Jonesboro Open also on her schedule.
